Anyone remember the large reel to reel tapes that where maybe 3/4" or 1" in width that dropped down from the reels for processing? There were also the metal drums and later after that the ticker tape

In about 1971 (I was 16) my school got a teletype terminal to a remote mainframe. It had twin paper tape reader/writers. The real geeks could edit the tape without referring to the manual. John

On the TRS80 did you have the Dancing Demon? When I started with ICL in the 1970sw they were just moving on from the 1900 to the 2900 series mainframes. I used to punch my test program instructions
