Re: BT7 Dimensions
Who are you playing with these days Duncan? I am still (occasionally) in touch with Garvey, and it reminds me I should drop Dave T a line as well.

Re: BT7 Dimensions
Yup Canberra
Have not been to CGS for a few years, but the group I am playing with now

Hmmm.. I¡¯m pretty sure I remember a Duncan Bolt from Oz. Canberra perhaps? ? If CGS have started playing Lardie rules, that¡¯s very good news if I go back.
I think I have seen those Spanish,

I have found that with other stuff bought from CGTrader.
Some things look like they were designed for Computer Animation rather than
printing.

Re: BT7 Dimensions
BT5 and BT7 had an 'interesting' dual drive. The front wheels were steerable and the tank could drive on wheels over road. The was Christie original idea. Remember the BT series were basically copies

Re: BT7 Dimensions
The BT was classifed as a light tank, and it could drive on the wheels with no tracks, as far as I am aware it was very rarely done though. The twin drive option was comon on Chritie suspensions, but

Describing the Matilda II as a ¡®Light Tank¡¯ would have confused any one listening in on the radio net.. as they ran into a regiment of light tanks¡

True ... but we need to remember that the USSR classified tank ¡®weights¡¯ by gun calibre. So the BT series, T 26 and Matilda received via lease-lend were all technically light tanks. The US M-3

The BT-7 was a light tank with a 45mm gun with the same role as the M3/M5

19 to 20 feet in old money.
An Austin A55 Cambridge Farina model 1960 was 15 feet long.
Wasn¡¯t the BT7 one of the Russian large heavy tanks?

If you want to make a tank go that fast in the 1930's you have to put a damn big engine in it...

Thanks Ken I scaled the model to 101mm long and it just looked way bigger than I expected. But it seems this is correct.

Re: BT7 Dimensions
I have two BT7's in 1/56 scale - measuring from front to rear - mudguard to mudguard - the warlord resin model is 103mm and the 3D printed (from Paint and Glue I think) is 100mm.
