Writing!
1. I'm working on an overly ambitious NUTS! WW2 campaign book series that will let a player basically take their core squad through the entire war. The books will be:? ETO (Western and Eastern Fronts), Desert War (including East Africa), PTO (including Indo-China/Burma). I've completed the x2 ETO books, and am grinding through the Desert War book. Been drinking from a fire hose, as it were, trying to read everything? I can on the subject to get this done. It's already forced me to create a new type of campaign map. The broad area maps used in the campaign system are two generic for North Africa. In the context of Europe having a map with large areas picked out fine - Normandy, Paris etc. But all the campaigns in North Africa were essentially linear, fought back and forth along the coastal zone. Hemmed in by harsh deserts, escarpments and rugged hills, the armies had to more or less follow the coastal road that ran from Alexandria to Tripoli. Yes, you could swing wide in areas, etc. So when you map it out it at a high level - boring! So I created? new linked area movement to add flavor. Anyways, just finished the high level campaigns and am creating sample scenarios for each campaign. Finished a few scenarios for 1940 through June 1941 and Halfaya Pass, next up - Operation Crusader!?
2. Updating older NUTS books for re-print. Just competed updating the Stalingrad book for 4th edition, then just two left - Italian campaign and Hurtgen Forest.
3. Painting. Just getting back into working through the figures that have been collecting dust on the workbench. Just finished? group of Post-Apoc survivors. Next in queue are some Dark Ages Saxons, then some scifi? infantry from the now OOP Defiant miniatures guys.
