No. It adds extra problems but some scenarios don¡¯t allow for small arms covering the whole line of sight on table so you wouldn¡¯t get secure jop¡¯s without the patrol feature. Besides it makes a more tactical game from the start.?
Imagine a Napoleonic game where you did the same sort of thing instead of line em up and shoot.?

Sometimes we do, and use a specific setup.
