Re: Carrier Detect TT4 Yellow LED Constant On

If you have not done so, I suggest setting the CDMODE command?to TONES.

For a remote site like that, perhaps a timer on the power source could turn it off at midnight for a minute or two and re-power.? Internal watchdog timers and such can force a re-boot of code, but sometimes a full power cycle is needed to clear a fault (eg: scr latchup).

My solar digipeater has been working well since last summer 2020.? Earlier in May this year it went silent for 10 days or so, until I was able to gain access to my fire tower installation 90ft. up.? I discovered that all equipment was operational except the TT4 yellow LED was constantly on; no flickering or blinking or off. ? Acted like the TT4 was locked up or frozen.? So I removed power to the TT4 and reconnected.? The TT4 immediately began working again and It seemed to work for a day or two and has gone silent again.? Before I get permission to go back again, any thoughts on a constant-on yellow LED?? Wondering if the TT4 needs to be replaced.? Thanks, Doug KF5BCX
