I have used several.? The TT4 uses the LM335z in a TO92 package, I think.? Nice because tou can connect it remotely with 2 wires. It also has the ability to add a POT for calibration.? Best done at the sensor, so still only needs 2 wires.? To do this, you put the resistor before the external wire out to the remote sensor and read the voltage after that resistor.

I've also used TMP35, 36, 37 sensors (TO92 package).? I think they are cheaper, but require 3 wires (Vin, Vout, Gnd).? TMP35 is easiest to work with.? TMP37 gives more output.? I like the TMP37, myself (after the LM335z).

I've also just used straight thermistors.? I think the the devices above are much better.
