Sorry for the bad info.
The APRSIS32 app does require XP or newer.

Byon,

?

?? Thanks for the info..? I already got the TT4A successfully up & running as a Digipeater a couple days ago.

?

I don't HAVE a TT4A USB interface cable.? I'm using a Null Modem cable to the radio instead.?

?

My next goal, now that I finally got it up & running as a Digi, is to upgrade it to a full I-gate setup.? Already have several folks helping me out with that effort.? Now I just need to get a newer laptop to run the APRSISCE software.? The version from the Download requires something newer than WIN98.

?

It errored out when I tried to install it on my old WIN98 laptop, and came up saying :"APRSIS CE expects a newer version of Windows. Upgrade your computer to a newer version OS" (or something very CLOSE to those words, anyway).

?

Looks like my I-gate project is on temporary HOLD until I figure out which direction I want to go with it, as far as what will be running the I-gate interface software.

?

Thanks for all the kind help, everybody!!

To configure the stationary TT4 as a digipeater,

Connect the TT USB cable to the computer and install drivers if needed
Run a terminal program such as TeraTerm Pro and set it for 19200 baud
Connect the TT USB cable to the TT4 J2 DB-9
When prompted to press ESC 3 times, do it quickly to enter the command menu
Enter the following commands
RESTORE < this puts everything back to DEFAUT >
MYCALL <your callsign>
ALIAS1 WIDE1 (or WIDE2, or WIDE)
and set the audio levels to match your radio (TXLEVEL, TXTWIST, RXA, CALIBRATE, and MONITOR commands, plus the R1 pot.)

If you also want the unit to transmit its location, then set:
TSYMC #
PPER ?3600
LOCATION <your location> (Must match format exactly)
TOSV N
PATH1 WIDE2-2
PATH2 %

To convert your lat/long from decimal degrees like DD.dddddd just use the 2 digits (for the first number, 3 for the second) before the decimal, then multiply the .dddddd by 60, and put that after the DD with 2 digits, decimal, then 4 digits after the decimal.

I hope that helps.?
