All 4 that we have are used as digis.
All 4 are set to Tx their DC voltage so we can monitor the status of power supplies, back up generators, solar panels, & batteries. We use AGM batteries and can usually determine the state of charge of the battery and wether is is being charged etc.
2 are used as trackers with a GPS connected so we can located the portable repeaters in trailers.
If we remove this chip would we lose any functionality? It must be in there for a reason.
