Oh wow! ? You must have been really doped up by the time they were ready to release you to go home with all that pain medication in you. ? Yep, you were pretty high by that time. ? ?Funny, when I am in the hospital I loose all my inhibitions as to being nude or having someone with me when I pee or whatever. ? I figure they¡¯ve seen it all before so just don¡¯t allow that to bother me at all. ? I¡¯ve had so much surgery, it just has no effect on me anymore I guess.
You did go through a lot. ? ?Yes, a MRI¡. ?I wear sleep masks when I am in one. ? I hate those machines and hate having to lie completely still and on top of that, the machine itself is way loud. ? ?Lordy be. ?If I didn¡¯t wear sleep masks, I couldn¡¯t do it. ? I am claustrophobic as well and that¡¯s how I found out I am. ? ?I¡¯ve never been strapped down in one but that would really freak me out for sure. ? ?I think they need to give a person a relaxer before putting them through all that. ? ?I¡¯m shivering just thinking about it. ? Maybe they won¡¯t do all that this time around. ? They know where the cancer is and hopefully can pinpoint it via an ultrasound so you won¡¯t have to go through all that again. ? ?I¡¯d be dreading it all as well. ? ?
Your husband should have stayed close by to make sure you were ok. ? ?He should have helped you get to bed as well. ? My goodness, how you managed to get up the stairs and get to bed alone I don¡¯t know. ? I hope he at least came to check on you. ? ? I am thankful Marc always stays near me so if I need anything or need help to get from one place to another, he is right there to help me. ? ? When he went to bed, he was farther away from me so I had a bell to ring and he¡¯d come running whenever I needed help. ? I think I managed most surgeries easily but the first knee replacement was awful. ?My leg was very swollen, hard as a rock and I was bruised from the bottom of my foot up through my buttocks. ? I had the worse scenario with that leg. ? ?When the left one was done, it was so easy. ? ?Not as hard as a rock, very little swelling and I didn¡¯t have all that bruising either. ? I was bending my knee at 90? in my second therapy session and I could pedal forwards and backwards with ease. ? It was the complete opposite of what I went through on the right knee. ? ?But the worse surgery I¡¯ve ever had was the hiatal hernia. ? Surgery took 4 hrs and 5 mins to start with but only because almost all my stomach was above my diaphragm and had to be pulled down and there was only about an inch to pull down with so it was slow going for sure. ? ?The surgeon also wrapped my stomach around my ?esophagus at the top. ?This has come loose so sometimes food goes into that part and I can¡¯t eat or drink anything at all until the food in that little area goes down into the main part of my stomach. ? It¡¯s like a little sack or that¡¯s what I call it. ? And it cannot be repaired again as they don¡¯t believe I would survive the surgery. ?So I live with it and the Acid Reflux issue is a part of that. ? ?I am also fortunate that I can still vomit as well even though it¡¯s not easy for me, at least I can. ? After hiatal hernia surgery, many cannot vomit anymore at all. ? They have to have a pill orally or a rectal ¡®pill¡¯ to stop the stomach from wanting to vomit.
Back to you. ? I am sorry for all you had to go through and hope this ime around it¡¯s much easier on you. ? ?I just hope they get all the cancer and that you will beat this cancer like it¡¯s nothing to worry about. ? You go, girl!!!!
Keep up updated as to when and whatever else there is. ? We¡¯ll all be worried sick and will count down the days right along with you. ? ?In the meantime ¡ª and all through your healing period ¡ª we will all be praying for you to have a quick recovery and be totally cancer free and a remain free of it for the rest of your life.

I'm not used to having an audience when I pee.......lol. She then told me to get dressed to go home and I couldn't even dress myself but home I went. Once in the door I started puking but daughter grabbed a basin for me. The girls went home because I was so loopy but hubby plunked me in a chair, gave me a coffee and he went down to watch TV. I spilled the coffee all over me and the chair and i then managed to get myself upstairs to bed. It was a nightmare from start to finish....lol
This time I am asking to stay in overnight where someone will tend to me....I do not recover well after being knocked out.
So no I am not nervous just dreading all the BS? that comes with it all.

I do not take after her for that at all  She had a Drawer full when we cleaned her stuff.
L'eggs....she had several sealed packages of those....not the eggs
But boxes.? Sold them on ebay and they sold in a heartbeat so there are people out there who still wear them She even had a box of knee highs (those sold quickly too)

Went to see the?doctor (well....the PA) about the sciatica.
Luckily he said I have no nerve issues and no weakness
He wants xrays?(to rule out damage to the discs....he thinks I might have done something when I fell)
And a more specialized PT and go back in 6 weeks.
And we will go from there.....

I went and had the xrays since I had on leggings (jeans have metal)
Then I went grocery shopping and to Aldi's
Stopped at the nursery and got?a gorgeous tulip plant?for my sister-in-law (host gift for Easter)

Thankfully Shawn is home today so he could carry everything in.

I put everything away and now I am just going to do nothing.

I normally wear jeans but put leggings on since I knew the Dr/PA would be moving me around
And I figured I'd go and get the Xray while wearing them.....although I did have to take my bra off and wear a fashionable johnnie.
And where I go the Xray is right across the street from where I do my grocery shopping?

I always wore jeans every day but I started wearing leggings and that's all I wear now. When I went for my cat scan i had jeans on and she just covered me and pulled my jeans down......lol Now its all leggings.?

Just sitting down now from leaving at 9 this morning.

Went to see the?doctor (well....the PA) about the sciatica.
Luckily he said I have no nerve issues and no weakness
He wants xrays?(to rule out damage to the discs....he thinks I might have done something when I fell)
And a more specialized PT and go back in 6 weeks.
And we will go from there.....

I went and had the xrays since I had on leggings (jeans have metal)
Then I went grocery shopping and to Aldi's
Stopped at the nursery and got?a gorgeous tulip plant?for my sister-in-law (host gift for Easter)

Thankfully Shawn is home today so he could carry everything in.

I put everything away and now I am just going to do nothing.
