Ten years ago he had to leave them inan extended period of time, there was so much bleeding and bruising. Even when he took them out they used a stitch bandaid as each stitch came out these strips went on. They had to stay in until they came off on their own. I;m not sure what they were called but they acted as stitches.? Now they have a wonderful bandaid that is like a skin over the incision and you can shower and everything with it, never had them 10 years ago.....?They sent me home with 2 and I made the mistake of taking it off so Lisa and Mariah brought me a few from work....

Sounds like you have a really good surgeon there. ? I¡¯m glad you can talk to him as you do and ask him questions. ? ? Yep, I bet the girls do need support. ? Even a sleep bra gives some and is better than nothing right now. ??

Tuesday is right around the corner. ? ?You¡¯re doing just fine.

My surgeon is very very easy to talk to, no big medical terms used with him. ?He refers to your boobs as the girls and they need support. When we talked about needing radiation I said oh? know its tits up. This time on the operating table he said to me we need to stop treating your boobies like this. I can say it like it is and not feel embarrassed or uncomfortable with him. He is very down to earth with a good bedside manner.

That is why I think it is very important to write questions down beforehand and take someone with you to listen

Write down any and all questions you have before Tues.?
No question is stupid.?
I guarantee you will forget something when you go if you don't have it written down.
I just?put them in notepad in my phone.
I still have a list from Ricks last appt in Boston....never could delete them

Sometimes doctors talk in a language not easy to understand....
Even as a medical professional....sometimes I still had questions

Oh yes I am moving about but usually holding my boob because it hurts when I walk. I am getting shooting pains going into it. ?The stitches are getting itchy now so i assume? a good sign. I see the surgeon Tuesday and hopefully they can come out.
Still waiting on Lisa to send me the report but she said all it says is he removed 5 nodes and the margins are all good around the area.
I wanted to know about recovery but not sure where to get that info, all the doctor got was the pathology reports.

Today started out overcast but turned sunny and very breezy.
I didn't do much of anything today other than shower and change the dressings......still sooooooo sore it even hurts to walk.?
