My father was a military officer and it was looked down on if you allowed your spouse or children to work before age 18 (for kids). ? Spouse was not EVER allowed to work. ?Mom was a housekeeper and my sister and I were only allowed to babysit but could not work outside the home. ? ? Even Aileen who is on ODSP pays $650 a month to live home plus has to buy her own groceries. Amy supplies the house but they pay rent.
