Julie came home the same day from having her thyroid out too.

Even total knee replacements come home the same day now.

My dad had partial knee replacements and they kept him overnight but only because he is 91 and lives alone.

He might be in an assisted living but he is still alone in his apt

They were going to send him home but my brother talked them into keeping him

I know I have said this before but when I had my weight loss surgery....

The rearranged my inner parts on Monday....

I came home Tues....with just bandaids on my belly.

And walked 3 miles on Wed.

And that was like 8 yrs ago

Kaylee came home the next day after having Willow in Sept.

If she was born in the morning, they would have gone home the same day

When hubby had his hernia done he was in a few days but it was done at a hospital where that's all they do. ?( ?)

Lisa had 1/2 her thyroid removed and I believe she was in a few days as well but both her and hubby were a few years ago and things have changed since then.

Aileen had open heart surgery and she was home by the 2nd day after surgery, i was amazed how fast they ship you out.

I had my gall bladder done and I was in for 10 days but I was quite sick with it. I lost 24 pounds in 8 days.

My son-in-law came home the same day.

A robot did his surgery.

He had 7 holes in his belly....bandaids....no sutures...

Same as when I had the gastric bypass but I only had?3 holes

(but mine was not done with a robot

?and I can't even tell now where the holes were

Surgery was around noon and he was in recovery till 5 ish and when I called they were just settling him in his room. I am going there for 9 ish and expect he will be send home unless something came up over night.

This is his 2nd time and the doctor said at his age they may as well do it again so he can enjoy the results from it for his last few years.....lol?

He had what we called a TERP but not sure the proper name. Basically as he says they ream him out so he can empty his bladder. Typical old man issue.......lol
