Yes, indeed. Although, as Leo said, an XOR is a classical mixer,
pretty much anything that's not strictly linear and time-invariant
will perform mixing of some kind. And "some kind" is often good
enough. I've even used a CMOS inverter (74C04) as a mixer. It's not
a great mixer, but it mixes.
