Hi Paul,
Before you start the SPC Procedure the scope tells you the Purpose of this Procedure. That it failed after 5 minutes is a good sign. Maybe the internal temperature rises too much during this 5 minutes. Plese read the instructions about clearance. Thus not building it in between other instruments, obstructing airfliow etc. etc.
