I agree that the message, which appears to be from groups.IO, is confusing. I think it's a case of too much information and the important content is the sentence "

The message we all received is an description of the reason for the process. It is not a re-verification request. Therefore, if an individual user did not receive a re-verification email, then no response is necessary.?
