Updated SG505

This is an interesting article about "Paul" building a modern day version of the Tek SG505.

Here's the link to "Paul's" DIY electronics blog on it where you can keep abreast of his progress (as of early March he had prototype PCBs but was missing some parts).

OOPS, not a 'scope. Sorry, delete if necessary.

There is a tek500 group. I found this very interesting since I am currently wrapping up a 10Hz->100kHz ultralow distortion signal generator project (-140dB THD, so far, at 1 kHz)

Discussion about any Tektronix test gear is welcome here.

Oh, that's interesting... I had no idea there's a group dedicated to just
the 500 (and I assume 5000) Tektronix plugs and frames.
I don't think I've seen a strict enforcement of keeping this group here
exclusively on oscilloscopes, but maybe I'm mistaken.

Just to be complete, although most group members probably know this, there
are three Tektronix-related GIO groups:

TekScopes (this group)
TekScopes2
tm500

KC0WJN

The SG505 was designed by the founder of Audio Precision, Bruce Hofer. It
is a marvelous signal generator for audio with a THD% level approaching the
level of the SYS2722. For those interested there was an article in Audio
decades ago about a copy-cat version written by Bob Cordell on his website
cordellaudio.com. Jack
