SC503 Interesting Wave Form

Hello,

I posted a picture in photo of a waveform being drawn by an DC502. I asked if anyone wanted to guess the cause. I know the answer, but take a guess if you want. I will post the component failure a little later.

The input is a sine wave. The wave form cause is a single component.

Guessing a DAC dropped a binary bit, likely D3 or D4 in the successive approximation custom chip output.

The failed component is a 3.3 uF 160V capacitor on the F&I board. C2031.

No clear about the role of DC502 here...

Please explain more.

Hi all,
I'm having an issue today with 'View/Reply online' (I'm not able to find the window to enter a message) and that's the reason for using 'Reply to group'.If Edward's 'Please explain more' request refers to my previous message 'Not clear about the role of DC502 here...' then Barry's first sentence of this topic should be re-read
RegardsT
