Dennis Tillman Tek 575 Curve Tracer Adapter PCB?

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to get the PCB that Dennis Tillman used to provide for the Tek 575 Vacuum Tube Curve Tracer adapter referenced here - the one where you mod something like an Eico 667 tube tester? Were gerber files were ever shared? He provides the schematic in the document, but I don't have PCB design skills, so it would be nice to get an actual board, which he did a really nice job designing.

He mentioned he could provide it in the document. I had e-mailed him about a year and a half ago and didn't get a reply. I later read about his health issues from other posts in this group. Hope all is well with him.

Thanks!
Phil

I have some extra's PCBs that I designed and had made. They are based upon Dennis' (and ChuckA's) design. You can see pictures of the finished unit here: /g/TekScopes/album?id=291888. My multiplier design (like ChuckA's) does not need a tube tester (just a curve tracer). Feel free to email me, if interested.

There is another gentleman on here that sells a step multiplier that uses a switching PS to generate the high voltages.

Thanks, I saw those but unfortunately I have a 575 which doesn’t have the step gen output banana plugs on it like the 576/577/370. I do have an eico 667 kicking around that I don’t use anymore since finding a tv-7, so Dennis’ solution seemed ideal … wouldn’t have to build any test fixtures either

Dennis used to sell these from his table at the Ham swaps. Hopefully he will be attending them again soon.

I hope so too, I have a 575 that I want to set up as a dedicated tube tester. I’ve been watching this thread with great interest.

Haven’t found a decent 576 that’s affordable yet.

Is anyone looking for a 575? I have two spares and need the room. PM if interested. I am in Kentucky.
ThanksJeff Kruth

@dc_rawding,
I've been looking for Dennis Tillman's boards with no luck, but the effort led me to this thread. At only ~15 months old, I have some hope that it's still relevant... I did check out the album you linked to. Looks promising. Do you have boards for sale?

Thanks!

Ryan

Yes I have a few. Did you see the box and write up made by Chuck A? These boards are not meant to interface with an outboard tube tester... they interface directly to a 576 / 577 (maybe all Tek curve tracers) and do not need a tube tester.

Dave

Ryan, I sent you an e-mail directly, check junk if you don't see it.
Someone in this group was kind enough to send me an unbuilt Dennis Tillman PCB. I bought the majority of the parts from digikey/mouser and started building it, and then ended up finding a 570 so never finished it. I can pass it on to someone else in the group now, but would like to recover the cost of the DigiKey order (I have to add it up but I think it was around $70)

I am very interested in the tube adaptor for my 575. I was not aware a tube tester was not needed. I do have a couple Sencore testers.

John

Hi, I am looking for one of Dennis's PCBs and I think the one you wrote about is the one I'm looking for. He and I were discussing it in emails a few years back and I got COVID and was down for a while and so I lost track of certain threads and projects that I was working on. In one of his last emails to me, he noted that he had revised his paper for the Tek SCT/TubeTester build and sent me his lastest revised designs for adapting a 577 curve tracer to an EICO 677 tube tester. I have that paper and I also own both pieces of gear. I was wondering if you still had your board or if someone else had one that I could acquire. Thank you.

I can't help you on the circuit boards, but to you or anyone needing a 575 curve tracer, I want to sell mine.? I don't want to ship it.? Many other Tek items if interested.? I live not far from Chicago.? N9ESS@...? Carl
