DC508 HELP with PHOTOS option 7

Hi, I had bought a DC508 option 1 for my TR502 7L14. I need to install option7, TM503 is option7, manual is very clear, but It will be very useful a detailed photos from cables and connector. Has some body one and can post some photos?
Thanks
Regards

Miguel

Hi Miguel,

TM503 is just a 3 slot mainframe. That can't possibly be what you are referring to as Option 7. It might be part of the option since, presumably, you will want to have the TR502 and the DC508 in the same TM503 main frame. There are probably a few interconnections you need to make on the back plane of the TM503 between the TR502 and the DC508 to make them work together.

Thanks Dennis,

Mainframe is option7 (rear interconnected) , I only need to modify DC508 to option 7. Board is installed but without components.

To use option 7, you will have to add the components to the multiplier board, including the two ribbon cable connectors. You will then need to make up the mating cables and solder the wires to points on the main circuit board. There may also be some trace cuts on the main circuit board. The DC508 manual should have a section on option 7 and how it interconnects with the main board. Getting the manual for the DC508 is the first step...

Thanks Scskits, I will pots some photos, the first attempt doesn¡¯t works. Lemo cable has some wires broken.

Hi Miguel,
Because of your posts about Option 7 I decided to finish hooking up my DC508 Option 7 to my TR502 Tracking Generator. The one thing I am missing is the wiring diagram for the TM503 Main Frame.

The interconnect wiring diagram should be on a sheet of paper contained in the Field Modification Kit 040-0789-00. I have jumpers from a different Field Modification Kit so all I need to know is which DC508 rear interconnect contacts go to which TR502 rear interconnect contacts.

Can you send me a copy of the sheet with the wiring diagram interconnections from 040-0789-00.

Hi Miguel,
Thank you for the Interconnect book.
I also looked at page 19-5 TR502 Tracking Generator. This appeared to be duplicate information for what is on page 17-3.
