My probe seems to work ok, but being the earlier model it needs the unobtanium Freon to work at it's full specs, so I was thinking of filling it with silicon oil like the A model, but that changes the characteristics which can mean the non-A compensation box ends up at the ends of its adjustment range.
I figure seeing as the actual probe body is basically the same (AFAIK), replacing the compensation box along with the silicon oil should work together to operate ok, and give me the Tekprobe functionality too.
Should be an interesting experiment, I have some gear to characterise it (good scopes, PG506, etc etc) so worth the experiment I think.
