use a dedicated desktop or phone app, or you can use it in the
browser.

You can stream video of your repairs or projects if you want some
feedback or guidance.

Also any manufacturers are allowed beyond Tek and HPAK but those have
separate designated areas.

I get a blank screen on my iPad, and a login screen on my PC for somewhere where I don't have a login, but as regards the whole project I'll be staying here thanks. I don't need a precious source of information diluted.

That is a very good point!
Unless the "elders" find participating enticing, it may wind up being just another forum, albeit with bells and whistles.
(I mean "elder" in the respectful sense of "those with the most knowledge/experience".)
This forum is special because of the people involved.
Whether something good comes of it or not, Cheater Cheater is to be commended for trying to improve the set of resources available to us all.
I will probably create an acct and have a look in. Yet another place to lurk.

Thanks EJP, I'll make sure to submit approval requests well in advance
of when I want to talk to one of the other list members in person. My
only hope is that you will be kind enough to allow this flight of
fancy to happen.

I don't see what I can do to either 'allow' or prevent this from happening, but I would point out that this list already has a chat facility. You seem to be reinventing the wheel.
