2467B

Hi,
Where is the service hours and power cycle statistic stored? Is it in the Dallas chip?

I am about to buy 2467B which looks in excellent condition and was recently serviced. Since it shows only 4 power cycles I assume the Dallas chip was replaced as a part of the service / calibration?

Hi,

It is standard practice to reset the power cycle counter,
and the hours counter when a scope is calibrated.

The purpose of the counter is to give the calibration
technician some idea of how long it has been since the last
calibration, and how many power cycles.

You can read the counter by entering the diagnostics menu
and running EXER05. See page 6-13 of the service manual.
