2335/2336 Lid Latches
Tom Jobe
Hi Joe,
Hopefully you know that the part number you are looking for is just the outer half of both latch assemblies. The rarest parts of the 2235-36-37 latch assemblies are the delicate left and right inner halves. These left and right parts are mirror images of each other, and have part numbers starting with 105. tom jobe.. On 1/30/2015 4:20 AM, strijw426@... [TekScopes] wrote:

Tom;
Thanks for that information. It is easy to miss something when the original parts are gone and just looking at illustrations. I will add those part numbers to my searching. I still wonder about making such parts using 3D printers. It would mainly be an issue of the material's tensile strength and ability to hold proper shape. Of course one would have to have an original part in good condition to be able to copy the complete design and dimensions. In the case of my scope all the pieces are missing, so that is why I will continue looking for parts. Joe |

Be careful about offering your very rare 233x parts as samples. I have sent some parts off for Tekscopes projects like this, and then never saw them or the promised copies. Measuring your parts and sending the dimensions might be the better plan. If measuring is not possible for you, let someone else measure their rare parts. tom jobe...
