this is my first post in this group.
I'm searching for the firmware update package for my TDS 420.
I've bought it as used on ebay, and was not working.
After repairing the PSU, replacing all caps, fixing all broken traces.. the scope is up & running again.
The fw version in this scope is v1.3; it's quite old, it doesn't even have rolling mode option, nor fft (option 2f).
I know that option FFT should be bought as separate option.. but this fw version doesn't have it implemented!
I've examined a bit how firmware works, and i'm confident that i'll be able to write a program to upgrade firmware directly through debug rs232 port.
The main problem now is.. that i don't have the updated firmware! :)
I've requested to join the other two "arc" groups, waiting for approval; meanwhile i've searched in this group without results.
As soon as i can update the firmware, i'll post instruction here.
