I recently acquired a 647 with 11B2 time base and 10A2 Dual-Trace Amp, Big thank you to Ken B! Yes, Stan is correct that the 11B2 has four tunnel diodes (all I can easily see is 125).
Does anyone have any data on this beast? I was considered repairing and selling on eBay, but I have never seen a 'scope built like this one. It will stay with me, unless someone in this group has a real interest in it. I just weighed it. With plug-ins, it weighs exactly 50 pounds.
It was obviously built to take a beating. Only thing wrong (so far) is the HV section.
Does anyone know if the 647A is similar enough to use its schematics (bama) to guide me on the 647? They look almost identical. Thanks in advance!
