I have two busted Tek DC508 counters, both with the same irritating
problem, open segments on the LED displays. so many, that you can't
tell what it is displaying. this was a nasty part from Litronix,
(DL833), that seemed to fail all the time, and I have prime
examples. I have had these sitting here for a year, trying to find
spares, anybody got some? I'd really like to use these counters, but
so far, my efforts have been totally wasted.

I need to try and find at least 4 displays, (3 digits each), or a
working display board from an otherwise bad unit. I have tried to
come up with an alternate part, but no luck, it's a very obscure
design. I may have to design a new board to replace the old one to
bring them back to life, but I'm hoping I can just find some
parts....happy to trade or buy.

Surely there must exist a reasonable sub today. Have you looked into the various suppliers (mostly far east these days)? If you don't have catalogs, get me the specs (I might have them somewhere too), and I'll see if I can find something.
