114xx bezzel buttons

I brought home today a 11403A.

But when I got it home the "MENUS" -> Waveforms button had vanished.

I can salvage buttons off the stack of 11401 and 11402s that are going in
the scrap pile so no problem there.

but does anybody know if there's a procedure is there a lip behind the
button where maybe the bezel has to come off ?

All the years of using 11k scopes this is never happened to me.

Not sure exactly what your question is, but I've removed the panel/trim from several 1140x's to gain access to the crt, using the procedure in the service manual on Tek's website, and I don't recall encountering anything unusual.

I didn't look at text website for service information do you have the URL
or can I just type in 11403 ?

There's a link to the manuals on the TekWiki site:

I must be doing something wrong. The reference to a service manual comes
up 404 for me. Please let me know what I am doing wrong and what page(s) I
should be looking at.

I want to say at the scan on Bama is from Artek. I used to provide them
with very rare tektronix manuals to be scanned.

They spend many many hours cleaning up Originals making sure things are
aligned excetera excetera

They asked very little for a copy to see it on Bama makes me want to throw
up.

And makes me want to decide the other 40 or 50 tektronix manuals that exist
nowhere else will be thrown out instead.

Have you asked the site owner to remove it? He may not know where it came from, since the site was intended for old ham radio manuals.

I will delete mine since it is a "borrowed " copy and not properly acquired.

Pete,

The keycap has two little tabs that snap over the momentary switch. I will send a photo if you have not resolved this yet. Removing the keycap requires access to the button board because the keycap tabs must be pried carefully from the switch. Installation is easy. You just jam it over the switch, straight in, and the tabs flex and snap into place. By the way, the same keycap is used on the 11K plugins.
