Re: Off topic question - Vero boards
Thank you kindly, Geoff and John. I feel rather stupid now. Clearly haven't been using the right search terms. :-) Michael

Not sure what your design is but there are many 0.1" boards.?If you are?more specific about what you want to accomplish, we might be able to help.??? ? Maranne for atSpeed www.atSpeed.net

Off topic question - Vero boards
Dear group, Please pardon an off topic question; it's the only place I can think of asking since many of you are designers and may have worked with this. I've been searching for Vero boards for

Re: 7Axx scope plugin input capacitance
I think you should leave alone the 7Axx inputs, they are perfectly fine as they are ;-) (I say this because this is not like the 222 probe issue where the probe is non-standard and hard to get, Tek

Re: 7Axx scope plugin input capacitance
You could also remove the protection diode and other components paralleling the 1 meg input resistor to further reduce the capacitance, but you might run into inadequate adjustment range for the

Re: 7Axx scope plugin input capacitance
Err, what exactly does the calibration of input capacitance do then? If you have a 'scope with input impedance of say 20pF in parallel with 1Meg, putting a parallel resistor capacitor of 1Meg/20pF in

Re: 7Axx scope plugin input capacitance
You cannot "change" the input capacitance of any Tek vertical input. It is what it is. Use a Tek probe. HankC, Boston

Re: OT: My list of Yahoo Groups :)
I got stung - it looked like a benign invitation from a known contact through grouply, then it spammed a bunch of yahoo groups. Sorry, please ignore. Ron

Re: 222 power supply
The red leads are the same potential: <http://i41.tinypic.com/333xwfr.jpg> This makes the connector "idiot proof"; you can plug it on either way 'round. Dave -=-=-=-

Re: Microfiche to PDF Conversion Recommendations
Depending on your scanning software, you may get better results scanning first to TIFF and then "printing" to pdf, and finally doing the OCR in pdf. Reason is that some scanning software allows a lot

Ah, thanks. So you *are* tracing the signal path? So what have you found? Where do you not see the noise and then where does it appear? Dave

Thanks for the reply. I noticed on the stock battery that there two red wires coming off of it. I'm assuming the battery has a tap somewhere but maybe not. That's what I'm most concerned

What you're seeing is a Tek 11000 series mainframe display. I use at work an 11302 with a 350 MHz plugin (11A32?). Way cool to watch the CRT beam auto registration cycle that's a part of the Enhanced
