Re: Need a 577 bottom cover
Hi Roy,
I didn't buy it recently. I got two of them back in 2009 or thereabouts, and just recently got around to going through them. I just listed the complete one on eBay if you're

Re: OT: microwave oven blows fuse
Ha, that business about putting a big red flag on the thing would NOT go over very well with my wife!
I think I'll open it back up again and see how hard it is to remove the switch assembly and the

Re: OT: microwave oven blows fuse
Good ideas, Steve. Although the probability of finding an even close model at Goodwill is next to zero.
Well, we did buy a cheap $50 job at Best Buy. First one had to go back because of a sticky

Re: 7704A, good deal?
I suspect a tantrum (Tantulum) caps did their thing as well as a possible electrolytic.

Re: OT: microwave oven blows fuse
If you can get a good look at that switch or remove it, you might be able
to find out who made it and get a model number. I doubt that Whirlpool made

Re: OT: microwave oven blows fuse
Jim,
I don't know if this will work. One of the photos I saw of these assemblies on an eBay site seemed to show generic microswitches as the electrical part of the assembly. When my trackballs

It's alive!
The first picture just shows the S-52's pulses. The second shows the sampling is at least basically working.
Promising!

Re: Need a 577 bottom cover

Best regards

Re: 7704A, good deal?
I¡¯m guessing a RIFA cap opened. If so, (a) it should be ok to power it up again and (2) it¡¯s a pretty simple repair.

Re: Tektronix 2430A
In my 2340 the battery is a soldered-in lithium thionyl chloride primary

Yeah, that's where I made a mess of it. I had meant to say:
