Re: Tek 465B woes
All those voltages look good. Since the +55 volts serves as the reference for the other rails, and it is slightly low, so are the others.
There is an adjustment, R1538, that sets the +55 level. If you

Ok. Mission accomplished. Here are my measurements and an image to make
sure I probed the right test points.

Re: 7623A PI stuck
Press your thumbs against the bottom corners of the plug-in's front panel and push it inward as hard as you can. Push the release handle all the way in if it isn't already. Then gently pull the

7623A PI stuck
Just tried to swap the farthest right plugin to get XY on one of my 7623As and it won't budge.
The pull release seems OK.
What can I try next?
Thanks,

Re: 7B80 not quite right
You could put a Vert amp in a horizontal slot & see if the deflection is the same as the Vert axis.If not, the Horiz amp may need a tweak.

Re: Tek 465B woes
Thanks for the insights Michael. I will check the voltages. I don't have a
second scope available to me, so I may have to figure out another way to
check for ripple. I think your score on ebay is

Thanks Siggi. Your instructions are inspiring. I will get the scope in the
garage tonight, pull off the cover and see what's going on. I'll report
back any findings.
Cheers

Re: Tek 465B woes
Like was said before, measure all the power supply test points. Measure them with a DMM and then measure them again with another scope set to ac coupling. This will allow you to look at any ripple on

Hey Kevin,
I expect once you get into it, you'll find this isn't nearly as frightening as you now think it is. The satisfaction in effecting a repair is huge - not to mention the bragging rights!

Hi Bert. I do plan to open the scope up and take a look. At the very least
I think I can giggle some of the transistors in their sockets, and it
sounds like I will be able to take general voltage
