The guy selling this item (TEK TLA612-2P):

Re: Wavetek scans found
The only thing missing from the excellent Model 166,
Function Generator, is an external frequency
reference input.
I don't see how I can do this myself from the schematics.

647
Hello All,
I recently acquired a 647 with 11B2 time base and 10A2 Dual-Trace Amp, Big thank you to Ken B! Yes, Stan is correct that the 11B2 has four tunnel diodes (all I can easily see is 125).

Tunnel and sampling diodes
Hi Craig:
The 1502 and 1503 Metallic Cable Testers (not the "B" and "C" versions) use a tunnel diode as a pulse generator and another for jitter reduction.
Schematic ref CR1609 is the jitter

Re: Tunnel and sampling diodes
Thanks Andr???
The list is filling up - so far 18 different TD's, and I've found
specificiations for 15 of those. The unit that has the most unique ones is
the 1S2, and they are for the 50ps

Re: Tunnel and sampling diodes
hi Craig,
I've found a selected TD3A 4.7ma Tunnel diode in the 3T4 programmable sampling sweep plug-in unit.
Anyway, it seems to be TD's in 3B3, 3B1 and 3B4 time base.
for the 3B3 : 152-081 is TD2

Re: Undecided 465M
Darrin,
I find a lot of bad power cords in the older scopes (453s) due to
age and maybe some abuse - pulling plug out by the cord, sharp
bends, etc.
Use an ohm meter to check continuity of the
