P6015A HV probe, trimpot R7 value?
Hi,
I just picked up a P6015 HV probe and am designing a replacement P6015A compensation box as the BNC on mine is broken and I want to add Tekprobe functionality (plus allow easier adjustment with

Re: Tek 2715 75 to 50 ohms conversion
After observing the comments and suggestions, I have to jump in here.
Basically, you want your 2715 analyzer to be a 2712? Why? It is already better than a 2712.
I realize the input connector is an

Re: 2465 Delta Cursor not visible
What's the voltage on the DLY_REF_1 line itself? Does it recover if you
disconnect P511?
I seem to remember cases where the bypass caps on the A1 board have gone
leaky and caused issues like this.

Re: Tek 2715 75 to 50 ohms conversion
Hi Jaap,
I did reply by email. But it seems you did not get my replies.
By changing to the 2712 software you mean changing the motherboard resistors so the analyser things its a 2712?

Re: Tek 2715 75 to 50 ohms conversion
Thanks for the help. So from the replies it would better to use a min loss pad or change the complete connector.

Re: 2465 Delta Cursor not visible
Many thanks Siggi for the feedback. I had actually just trawled through the manual and discovered this info (I'd missed it because I didn't understand where such functionality took place). I have now

Hi David - do you have a link to the relevant tekwiki? Thanks ('m a very occasional user - so am not aware of these links).

Re: Tek 2211 - need a real manual (blue cover?)
I hate to say it but I can understand wanting a paper copy sometimes. It happened once for me about 5 years ago.
On the other hand, control-F does not seem to work very well for paper copies (or

Re: Tek 2211 - need a real manual (blue cover?)
Thanks - but a paper version is a damn sight easier to use and access in this environment! Biggest issue is always the fold-out pages.
Thanks for the link - will see if I can print it out.

Re: Type 130 L-C Meter
No, not at all, Tom. My message is that you match a scope to a probe via the RC time constant, not the R or C by itself.
Take it from me, it feels great to use a 130 to set the input C of a scope.

Re: Anyone Have a Peltola Socket?
I see where parts of that site are copied to the TekWiki page. Perhaps it would be good to add a statement to that page stating that those can still be purchased and a link to their webpage for it?

Re: Type 130 L-C Meter
Are you suggesting that the 130's readings are affected by a DUT's loss? One of this instrument's virtues is that its measurement technique is relatively insensitive to both shunt and series loss of

Re: Type 130 L-C Meter
I wasted some time on this. Adjusting for C is wrong; what really matters is the RC time constant. Since R is typically 1% tolerance, the ideal C may be 1% off too.
This may not be enough to matter

Re: Tek 2211 - need a real manual (blue cover?)
I have a "bench computer", but it's down, and no particular time frame for bringing it back up again.
Then there's foldout schematics...
I wouldn't mind having a paper manual for my 2246, if
