Re: Tektronix 465
If anyone needs a part let me know. Barry
I could use the pots that deal with triggering and horizontal control their plastic knobs, A7 and A8 trigger boards.
If you want contact me at.

DC balance pots on 575 curve tracer
Hi John : What a good answer to my question, I hope you don¡¯t mind my response to your personal mail.
I did not mention that I have JFETs instead of a matching pair of 12au6s in both

Re: Tektronix 465
Barry,
One is what I need. I am in the states on the east coast. Thanks. I am considering the multiplier also as a spare for my plain and B version.

The one that I have is in excellent condition. Are you in the united states? Can you use just one?

Re: Tektronix 465
Hi Mark,
I used one of them. I cut the clear plastic time mark rings off and replaced it with one that had a broken knob. Great fix! I seem to be better at the hardware restoration than the circuit

Re: Solder - Tin/Silver or Tin/Lead/Silver?
So did the first Tek portable solid state 'scopes beginning in 1966, which also used the ceramic strips. When I bought my Tek 453 about 1994 the roll was missing, but I already owned a spool of

Re: DC balance pot on 575 curve tracer
Not sure if this problem is on the vertical or horizontal amp, but the trouble-shooting should be similar.
First, the balance pot: on early s/n's this was 5k, changed to 10k on s/n 6630 up . 100k

Re: Tektronix 454A Oscilloscope No Trace but Beam Finder works fine?
Yes that has been the only one so far. As soon as I replaced it, the ¡®scope then worked fine so I can say for sure it ¡®s bad.

Re: New method for 7K SMPS problem diagnosis
Well, at least it's alive. The power supplies are all up and it has a sharp bright blue trace, but obvious problems in the vertical system and readout so far. I'll have to work on it hopefully

Tom, I had that same thought when seeing Barry Breaux's post this morning about a 465 he's parting out. I wonder if that's the message you're thinking

Re: Tektronix 454A Oscilloscope No Trace but Beam Finder works fine?
Hi Jeff,
How did you determine that those transistors were bad? If you used one of those do-it-all component testers, check again with a DMM or curve tracer. The testers can break down the

Re: Tektronix 454A Oscilloscope No Trace but Beam Finder works fine?
Jeffrey,
A KSP10BU will replace the bad transistor. The pinout is BEC. This transistor will replace others as well. The 0367 is an example.

Re: Tektronix 454A Oscilloscope No Trace but Beam Finder works fine?
I'm glad to share that I've successfully identified the culprit: transistor Q364. I tracked it down by shorting the bases of transistors on the upper and lower rails, block by block, starting with the

New method for 7K SMPS problem diagnosis

Re: 80E04 sampling module - fair price?
Well, those are expensive birds, mostly because of the hybrid frontends.
But you still can buy a non-functional one for $200 - $500.
A typical 8x00 series plugin contains a hybrid frontend where the
