I owned one of these. The PC boards are all plated with gold. I used to ppen it up and show the gold in it to all my friends. You can even see it in the pictures. This was one of the last scopes

4116 RAMs did not have completely standard refresh requirements. The RAMs that fail probably need to work with a different refresh controller.
