Re: Type 106
It is probably the wrong case I guess. But it seems to fit it quite perfectly. I wonder what case that would¡¯ve been off from originally.... Hmmmm.

Re: SC502 looking for a replacement of dual 6-pin FET in input stage DON'T TRY THIS
There isn't anything particularly demanding about the SC502 -- it's a 15MHz scope, and the pair of matched FETs just reduces the offset and drift. Space is tight, so there can be mechanical

Re: SMB Adaptor (again)
If you have brand new SMBs, they should be tight at first, but will gradually loosen up with use. They are not built for lots of plug-un-plug operations, and after many times, you may wish they were

Re: Replacing a 7000 MF Rear Interface Connector: IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?
I just got my 3d printer. That is one of the parts that I hope to replicate. It does not seem like it would be too hard from a photo then just extrude out the length of the part. Eric wrote:

Re: SC502 looking for a replacement of dual 6-pin FET in input stage DON'T TRY THIS
Are the Tek dual FETs that special in this application? I don't know anything about the SC502, so I'm just asking, because I have a Heathkit IM104 FETVOM I built circa 1970 that has a dual FET in it.

Re: Replacing a 7000 MF Rear Interface Connector: IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?
I had connectors that weren't making good contact and I think I bent a couple of fingers finally (this was a long time ago). So I bought a backplane from Deane Kidd and swapped them. It looked like a

Also, it comes in a rather unusual (to me) case, which does appear to be stock. /g/TekScopes/album?id=261997 That certainly looks like a Tek case, but it might not be the correct one

Re: SMB Adaptor (again)
My SMB-to-BNC cables have Radiall (top quality) plugs and they are a pretty tight fit as well. Much tighter (subjectively) than an average GR874 plug, and with a click, of course. Raymond

Re: Replacing a 7000 MF Rear Interface Connector: IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?
Dennis, I have a 7603 that has a readout board that is completely toasted. When I got it the plugs were switched and the 130V rail was fed to places it should not have been and did a ton of damage to

Replacing a 7000 MF Rear Interface Connector: IS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?
One of my favorite scopes (the venerable 7603) had some intermittent issues with the on-screen readout for some time. Usually I could encourage it to work by pushing the plugin in firmly or applying a

Re: Alert for 519 owners - The significance of the Gold GR Connectors
Hi to All, Early Type 519's have Nickel Plated GR874 Outer Connectors. I had one of these. Later Type 519's have Gold Plated ones. This change is described in the latest Manuals. Greetings, Egge Siert
