Hi John,
It seems that you mixed up two ICs. At my B058082 PCB, U722 is a round case CA3130, while U842 is a DIL labeled 0067-02 (741 in another unit).

WTB - Tek IC 155-0018 zero logic chip
I am looking to buy a Tek IC part number 155-0018, zero logic chip. I can get one from Sphere, but the across-the-border shipping is silly high. Please contact me off-list if you have one for sale,

Thanks much Rob for the article. Also, I will want to look into the possibility of using a pulse generator and counter in lieu of a marker generator- learning how to do that would be useful and

PG-506 Calibration
I finally bought a broken pre-B040000 PG-506 and have repaired and
recalibrated it. It had one bad Signetics 7475 produced in the 10th
week of 1979 which I replaced with an even older Fairchild

Re: 7B92A with tunnel diodes vs. version without
Gotcha. It is funny how these things work out.
I guess we need to find someone with both 7B92A versions and an SG504
or equivalent to measure any difference in the triggering sensitivity.
I thought

Congratz Keith.
You for sure deserve a good scope if nothing else for your tenacity. I agree

Parting out 7D01
Hi,
I am parting out 2 7D01s and a DF2. Nothing less than $2 plus postage and handling cost. I am downsizing so trades are unlikely. Will combine for multiple parts. Make offer off list. Charity

Re: 7B92A with tunnel diodes vs. version without
Hi David,
I got this "hybrid" 7B92A through a swap with my earlier tunnel diode based unit. I only received my SG504 (and SG503) after that so I don't know my earlier 7B92A's trigger behavior by

My message was related to my earlier question on this forum (original post) about the reasons for and consequences of replacing the tunnel diodes in earlier 7B92A's with these hybrids. It

I just recently acquired and repaired an SG503 that was suffering from
bad TI sockets. I do not have anything suitable to test triggering

Re: 7B92A with tunnel diodes vs. version without
Tried my newly acquired SG504 (with leveling head) and saw this 7B92A triggering happily at around 1.05 GHz on my 7904 + 7A19... Of course, amplitude isn't shown anywhere near correctly. 7B92A is

If you can't get the scratches out, you may be able to find some blue transparency film at Staples.
This is the stuff you would use with an overhead projector.
