some 1/8" thick to size to fit a Vans Heat Shield, then secure it with

I have some close areas as well and simple aluminum speed tape works well. ?Clean the contact area well and seal the edges with RTV and it lasts a good long time

Mine aren't that close, but in areas where the pipes were closest I used some aluminized fiberglass stick-on heat barrier on the cowl. It's cheap and easy.

If you are concerned, i would clamp a heat deflector to the pipe in those areas. I think vans aircraft had some.? I think that would work better than wrapping the pipe or putting something on the
