John, I thought about closing off part of the intake air but don't really want to put any tape over the openings.? There are other options like a removable air dam but haven't got around to it.? I

Keith; To control your CHT¡¯s You may want to think about closing off the intake air. This works better than adjusting the out flow of air. It also helps with cooling drag. John Haedtler

Thanks Alex, For those interested,? the carb heat muff is different than a cabin heat muff.? This one is open on the top (closed on both ends) so it can draw air in and around the exhaust pipe but

So I think I figured out my issue and have it solid at this time! I'm double covering and stewarts has you use 3 to 1 glue water at this point to seal fabric. In this case I had to add undiluted glue
