I will OF COURSE have a good look inside the wing to see what the condition and workmanship looks like. Perhaps the build log will tell me if the wing was built with Resorcinol, epoxy, or FPL-16, or Elmer's glue.

I had never heard that the Cougar wing struts and fittings were suspect. I will sure as heck find out what these struts are made of, and I'll sure as heck look at the welds on the strut fittings.... I've kinda used up eight of my nine lives already (Reno Formula 1 racing, sailplane racing, and driving like an idiot at 18 years old with a fast car).

There is no fabric on the trailing edge of these wings, it appears to be plywood all the way around.
