I consider myself a newbie. My first boat was a Mac 25 (not the
motor sailor)very light and trailerable. I have it at a marina in
florida and have been getting to know the other sailors. Lots of fun
sailing but still learning. A dry slip so she is easy to launch.
Last weekend while on my first solo the forestay didn't sooo I
started looking for a mast. Conversation with one of the liveaboards
about someday moving up to a more substantial boat perhaps even
larger "if I could find a slip"
Guess what the Tartan owner who has been doing some work on her was
transferred. Would you be interested? The slip is transferrable. I
will take a look.
Today I fell in love or at least lust with (perhaps) inanimate
object.
The brass plate says 442. The price is less than a new mast at JSI
in St. Petersburg. She will need repowering but for now does come
with a kicker motor.
One other interesting point my admiral is wheel chair bound but
shares my dream. We both were bitten about 20 years ago on a 30
footer on a lake in Oklahoma. Her maiden name is Morris and very
Irish. The boats name is Irish Lady.
Told you it was a long story.
Now
Need tiller size?
Any ideas on repowering. She had a disel the a4 is long gone.
