Hello,
I created a T27 owners group on facebook. not trying to do away with this yahoo group. Just trying to enhance it. I believe it may be an easier platform to share pictures, videos information on. I have set it up as a private group and plan to make everyone an admin so we can easily add more members and share info.

I am really anxious to get started on her. My plan is to retire on her in a couple of years. There is a lot of work to do. Most of the interior is pretty rotten and needs replaced. There are soft spots on the deck and the chain plates will need repaired. The cockpit locker seats need replaced also. I noticed when I was getting her loaded on the trailor that one of cockpit scupper hoses is emptying into the interior of the boat, no wonder its got so much water in it!
But anyway I will have her home soon and start working on her then.

Can't speak to the universal specifically but I can almost guarantee having to modify or rebuild the engine beds. The A4 was bolted directly to them with no isolators so the beds are tall and very narrow. I didn't have any trouble with engine cover and bulkhead but I put in a tiny little Renault single cylinder. I'm back again to bang the drum for this year's Winter Dinner.? Much like the 2016 event, we are sponsoring a morning learning session as well as the buffet dinner in the evening.? If you are free on Saturday, February 17, I think you'd really enjoy this double header.
The day will start with a 9:00 - 11:30 A.M. seminar on "Weather for the Coastal Cruising Sailor."?The session leader is going to be Dr. Frank Bohlens, Professor of Oceanography at the University of Connecticut who is both an expert on ocean weather and an avid ocean racer.? Frank brings a special link to Tartan since he completed the Newport to Bermuda race in a Tartan 37.? If you are planning to attend the weather session please feel free to email me any questions you want addressed.? Frank and I are working to ensure we have a really informative session that meets people's needs.
The evening fun begins at 5:00 P.M. with a cash bar cocktail "hour," with cheese and fruit, that runs to 7:00 P.M.? I've learned from past experience that TONE folks have lots to talk about seeing old friends and we need lots of chat time.? The buffet will begin at 7:00 and includes multiple entrees (including a roast pork carving station), yummy vegetables, and the usual meal items that round out a great dinner.? Dessert and coffee/tea follow the dinner.? The full menu is available for viewing on the TONE website Winter Dinner page.?
The event is being held at the Mystic Yachting Center at the Mystic Shipyard, Mystic, CT.? It's a great venue with a meeting room on the first floor for our morning seminar and an upstairs ballroom where the buffet dinner will be held.? It has a great view being situated on the Mystic River and there will be plenty of convenient parking right at the Yachting Center for attendees.? Google Mystic Yachting Center if you want to see the venue - you'll be impressed.
The cost for the total event is $70.00 per person.
This is as good as it gets.? A sailing learning opportunity in the morning and a great dinner that night.? If you can make it we'd love to see you!

Cyric, ?I have a tank from an older T 27 I bought for parts. It’s not the factory monel ?tank with the rounded corners, however it is the same size and constructed of aluminum and is in good shape.

Tartan Fuel tank Measurments
Hello All Would anyone happen to have the measurements for the original T27 fuel tank? I dont know if they changed from year to year, but my boat is a 71 Year model. I need to get a new fuel tank, but have nothing to go on as mine was removed and did not come with the boat.
