Unfortunately,? when re-powering, the layout of the mounts is by no means the premier consideration. There a number of ways to customize the current mount arrangement to fit other engines.
BTW, inspect the logs closely, I have dealt with several boats where the wood inside the FG was just loose wet fibers (oak), which means rebuilding the logs, which allows for relocation as well.
Cooling/exhaust system, prop and shaft layout and alignment, wiring and electrics, fuel system, controls etc. are all factors to consider and deal with, which may well outweigh the footprint as a primary issue.
