trim for deck hatches follow-up

To All,
Thanks to all for the input on the trim issue. Since I wrote this, I
have cruised around the web a bit, and found that my nomenclature was a
little off.
I should have not called it "trim." What I wanted to find was the "U"
shaped channel that covers the fiberglass edge of the lockers and
hatches, it is about .25-.50 in. wide pressed down over the fiberglass
lip and seals off the hatch and seat lockers when they are closed.
It would be an extruded material, probably a rubber, neoprene or
silicone material that will really seal off the hatch, seat locker and
lazzrette from water ingestion.....
When I find it I will certainly make it known as those seals are
usually very poor and a lot of the water that gets into the boat gets
in through them I believe.
Let's keep the site up and active!!!
Regards, Jim
