Consider taping (or otherwise attaching) a few small sections of small diameter PVC pipe along the boom.? Smooth and sand the inside edges to allow the sheet to move freely through it and reduce any potential wear.? Should be super easy and cheap

When I tack and the boom swings around, sometimes the sheet sags down between the two pulleys on the boom and snags on the back of my life jacket.? Looking through photos on the internet, I see some kind of clips or sleeves on a few booms (examples linked below).? What is the proper terminology for these things, and does anyone have suggestions for a DIY solution?
