Leak down is usually a %. Are you saying your compression was 20?? What were the other pressures?

Before you go buying a new engine, have you done a leak-down test?? I would also put a scope in the plug hole and have a look at the piston!
From amazon a leak down tester is as low as $30 and will tell you a lot about what is actually going on with your motor.
A borescope is cheap too!

Also, you have to have neighbors/friends/buddys that might have these!
For under $100 you can know exactly what that motor needs.
