Google the number on the side of the EMU to figure out what year and model Subaru it came from. Then download the Subaru documentation for that year. For my '95, it was in the OBD II document. Look up the wire colors on the diagrams. My guess is the switch allows togging the EMU into manual or automatic transmission mode.
