I did the conversion about 3 years ago, and I used the complete KEP kit, my van is an 85 weekender with manual transmission and the donor a 99 Subaru Impreza 2.2 engine. Good luck with your conversion?

Sorry for asking such a basic question, but does your conversion use the whole KEP kit?
I'm wondering because it seems that the KEP cross-member is pretty easy to locate properly for the install, and the overall dimension from the engine mounting point to the trans mounting point should be a pretty fixed number if the KEP adapter plate was also used.
If either of those parts is from a different manufacturer, then it seems to me that there's a chance that the overall mount to mount dimension is slightly off, potentially causing the rest of the driveline to be a bit off.
On the other hand, my experience with the auto trans is zero and I've only done a single conversion (full KEP kit) so I don't have much to go on.
That reversed transmission mount and stack of washers certainly makes me wonder what their root causes are though.
Cheers!
