After going through about a dozen dead ends with a similar problem I solved my "rough idle, power loss" issue by......
Disconnect the engine harness in the engine compartment near the firewall, clean the contacts with a good solvent. I used denatured alcohol and a qtip. You can get fancier stuff for cleaning electrical contacts that comes in a spray can. Snap it back together. Voila!
Just one simple solution for a potential cause.
