Arduino tach

hey folks have any of ya made a tachometer using a Arduino ? I tried
some I found online but most of them seem to have something wrong with
the code? I'm not smart enough in the Arduino world to decipher the code
. What are you folks using ? I don't want to buy just a tach from China
. I need to get one working in the Arduino platform for part of a
project I've got going . thanks

animal

i use a Tachulator.

How did you install the sensor? I could not figure how to, from the instructions?

i made a extention for the end of the spindle, at the same time i made it a nice spider for holding long stock. had to make a small alum bracket to mount the pickup on.

Andrei, as you can see the red display is mounted over my control box. my lathe is a 11" Rockwell and runs off a VFD to give me 220v 3 phz. the tachulator is not like a?Arduino at all. you can't program it, it gives you RPM, and what ever you calculate for the rest. i' ve had it almost 20 years and no problems.

Have fun,,? Paul
