Hi There, I know I am late to the Party but I thought I would pass along a little knowledge about the Heavy Ten with the 1-7/8" x? 8tpi spindle. When the "Heavy Ten" first came out, it had that

Re: FS: Two Lathe Chucks 1-7/8 x 8tpi - early 10L or 13"
Hi Mike, good suggestion, but I'm already set with chucks, I think. The 10L came with a Buck 3 jaw, and a 4 jaw.? And I've already got another 5.5" Bison 3 jaw that is in great shape.? I need to

I purchased a new SB 10L lathe yesterday...some history...I've had quite a bit of lathe turnover over the past 25-30 years: *1st:* Atlas-Craftsman 12" (~1997) - worked well.? Good starter lathe.?

FS: 10" 4 jaw Chuck -2-1/4 x 8tpi
Update on 8-13-24: SOLD This was included in a recent lathe purchase, but is too large for my 10L.? It would probably be a good fit for a SB 13", which I think is also 2-1/4 x 8tpi. No marking
FS: Two Lathe Chucks 1-7/8 x 8tpi - early 10L or 13"
Two lathe chucks were included with my recent lathe purchase that don't actually fit my (1968) 10L. They are both 1-7/8 x 8tpi.? From my limited research, it appears that this is an uncommon size

Thanks for all of your help I have the motor up and running as a result. I did notice that the 1425 rpm motor is running close to the 1725 rpm original. I’ll keep an eye out for any smoke or
